  • Technical backup in all areas of agriculture including agronomy, nutrient management, nutrition and milk quality
  • Supply and advise on farmyard layouts including farm sheds and over ground slurry tanks

Jerry O'Brien: Agri Operations Manager
Jerry is responsible for all aspects of our agri-business including fertilizer, farm inputs and animal feed. He works closely with our agri-advisory team to ensure the Co-op provides the best service possible for our farmers.




David Walsh - Agri Advisor. Barryroe Co-op
David Walsh: Agri Advisor
David is farm advisor in our Agri Division.  He is from a dairy farm background and has a degree in Land Management in Agriculture. He previously worked with the Farm Relief Service and was also contracted to Teagasc where he gained experience working on fertiliser plans for farmers as well as on agricultural TAMS grant applications.
David provides technical advice to our farmers and will also complete TAMS grants and nitrates derogation applications. He is available to call to farmers to give advice on farm inputs and can be contacted on 086 8073953


Amanda Nugent - Agri Advisor Barryroe Co-op

 
Amanda Nugent: Agri Advisor
A native of Donegal, Amanda attended Gurteen Agricultural College, Tipperary, and then graduated from Waterford Institute of Technology with a Science degree in Agriculture. She previously worked with ABP Bandon where she held the position of Animal Welfare Officer. Amanda will provide technical advice to our farmers including nutrient management planning, as well as designing and evaluating diets for individual animal groups. She is available to call to farmers to give advice on farm inputs and can be contacted on 087 2720716
